We announced that Meni-one Co., Ltd. (address: Miyuki Business Park Building No.4, 390 Ichibagi-cho, Nishi-ku, Nagoya, Aichi, Japan; President: Tomoaki Honda) established Meni-one China Co., Ltd. (address: Room 406-03,4F, No.355 HongQiao Road,ShangHai, 200030; CEO: Nobukazu Kawaguchi) as a 100%-owned subsidiary in March 2021. Meni-one, a subsidiary of Menicon Co., Ltd., specializes in animal medical care, and sells animal ophthalmic devices and dietary supplements.

Meni-one has been selling animal ophthalmic devices and supplements in Japan and overseas since its establishment in 2003. Meni-one, developing animal medical care business in China since 2011, has established Meni-one China Co., Ltd. (Shanghai) to respond to the expanding demand for pets in the Chinese market.

In China, animal medical care is mainly provided to industrial animals such as cattle and pigs. However, the number of pets, primarily dogs and cats, in China has been increasing in recent years and improvements in medical care for small animals have been necessary. Meni-one sells dietary supplements as well as organizes seminars for local veterinarians. It also supervises the development and production of ophthalmic medical devices in China based on knowledge acquired through the expansion of animal ophthalmic treatment in Japan, such as intraocular lenses for dogs. By establishing a local subsidiary, Meni-one will play a part in improving the pet sector by providing more products and services to veterinary clinics and hospitals as well as pet owners in the Asian markets, mainly in China.

Meni-one will continue to develop safe and high-quality products and provide services that support the health of animals based on animal medical care. This will help respond to the owners' wish to spend as much time as possible with their dogs and cats who are cherished members of their families.
